Description: The two pieces that make up The Beach are split into three equal sections, the top being the lightest color, the middle being a darker tone of the same color, and the bottom being a sand-like color that has sand embedded in it.

Meaning: The Beach is a set of two pieces I created for the staircase in my mother's townhouse. This work is meant to be a simplistic representation of the view over the ocean from a beach, one at day and one at sunset. At the time I was studying Ellsworth Kelly's work which acted as the inspiration for these two pieces.
