Cycle 2024, No. 20: The Tower of Babel, 2024

Description: A branch is mounted on a 2' x 2' wood board. The bottom half of the branch and the base are coated in a dark grey spray-paint, the top half of the branch is coated in a lighter spray paint. The entire piece is coated in a spray-on varnish.
Meaning: This piece is the twentieth in my 2024 cycle of works based on the two artists I consider to be my greatest inspirations: Robert Rauschenberg and Emilio Vedova. The piece is meant to represent the Tower of Babel, a man-made structure that was meant to reach the heavens.
