Meaning: This piece is the twenty second in my 2024 cycle of works based on the two artists I consider to be my greatest inspirations: Robert Rauschenberg and Emilio Vedova. The piece is meant to represent the Castration of Uranus, an event in Greek Mythology that led to the birth of Aphrodite in some versions; the painting portrays the events having occurred already and focuses on Chronos casting Uranus' testicles into the ocean.
