Series Overview: The America Today series is a series of new works that are meant to depict issues that exist in the United States of America today. The title comes from America Today, a mural by Thomas Hart Benton that depicts America in the 1920's. The title is meant to be ironic as while one could look at Thomas' mural and get a sense of accomplishment or pride in America, this series is meant to show less-than-ideal elements of America that one likely wouldn't take pride in.
